Urban Design

In a world of rapidly rising and migrating urban populations, the need for inclusive approaches to city planning and urban resilience has defined the intention to seize, analyse and respond to the driving forces shaping the built environment. Digesting the social, economic, cultural and environmental parameters of this constant transformation, the MA Urban Design students learn how planning facilitates change in complex micro- and macro- environments, engaging ethically with real-life experiences. Confronted with the (post) Covid reality, the programme intends to address healthy neighbourhood design, recognising the city as a porous organism responding to changing living and climatic scenarios.
